My Style – How I Work
Finding the right therapist is key in order for therapy to work. I like to work collaboratively and creatively with my clients, integrating different modalities and techniques based on my client’s needs. I try to meet my clients where they are and help them identify old patterns that are no longer serving them. I help individuals increase their awareness, self-compassion, and understanding about how past and current experiences impact our sense of who we are, our ability to form healthy relationships and overall happiness in life.
My style is warm, engaged, and empathic. I am also direct and practical. I bring a calm presence and a genuine curiosity to each session. I am known to gently push my clients to challenge their old belief systems and will guide them toward making lasting positive changes. I will provide support and feedback that will be most useful to my clients. Each client is unique and I am honored when s/he gives me the opportunity to build a relationship based on trust. I will also use humor when appropriate.
